| | BIRMINGHAM welcome Ipswich back to Perry Barr for a second consecutive Monday (June 7.30pm) - this time as they stage the home leg of their Knockout Cup Semi-Final.
The Curtis Sport Brummies beat the Witches 49-41 in the league last Monday and will be now looking to build up another lead ahead of the decider at Foxhall on Thursday (June 6, 7.30pm).
With Freddie Lindgren’s debut for the club delayed due to visa issues and with the new monthly greensheet averages coming into play, the Brummies will also track a new riding order.
The most eye-catching move sees former World Cup winner Piotr Pawlicki line up at reserve with team manager Sam Ermolenko having the option to use him up to seven times should he feel the need to do so.
Elsewhere, Tom Brennan moves to No.1 with Wiktor Lampart elevated into the main body of the team.
Ipswich operate Rider Replacement at No.1 for Jason Doyle, who has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with multiple injuries, and bring in former temporary Brummie Scott Nicholls and Norick Blodorn as guests.
Team manager Sam Ermolenko said: “We showed what we’re capable of against Ipswich last Monday and we’re looking for something similar this time around.
“The new riding order is interesting shall we say and to have someone like Piotr at reserve could make us stronger.
“We want to be in that cup final, we want to do it for the club as whole and of course for the supporters, so hopefully they come out and get behind the riders and it should be another exciting race meeting.”
Whilst tickets will be available on the gate, they are also available online for £23 adults, £20 concessions (with proof) and £10 students (with proof) - children under 16 are admitted free of charge!
Brand new racenight ‘VIP Gold Tickets’ are also available for £39 - this includes a raceday programme, a pre-meeting pits visit, a centre green experience as well as use of the executive boxes upstairs in the main grandstand.
All tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting: https://www.trybooking.com/uk/events/landing/62156?
A reminder that this fixture is included as part of Birmingham’s Season Ticket package.
