HOME COMFORTS FOR BRUMMIES

Wednesday July 28, 2021
BIRMINGHAM racer Ashley Morris is relishing the prospect of more Perry Barr action tonight when the Brummies take on Plymouth (7.30).

Popular British rider Morris says a steady flow of more home meetings will help the team for the rest of the season.

Plymouth head into the meeting smarting from a home defeat at the hands of Leicester last night.

And Morris is keen to help Birmingham go through the rest of the season unbeaten at Perry Barr.

He said: "It hasn't been easy for us; when we did get started it was once a week, everything was very spread out and then we had five weeks off altogether.

"The home track hadn't been what we were used to and all of that together meant a lot had gone against us.

"The lads dug deep last week though.

"It was good to have everyone back together and I think everyone's confidence went up after last week.

"Now we want to keep that going and win all of our home meetings and we know we can go and get some of those away wins we're going to need as well.

Following the 15 heats there will be a Development League fixture between the Birimingham Bulls and Eastbourne Seagulls.

Fans are also reminded cash admission is now available on the night and with all food and bar facilities open at the stadium no pre-purchased food or drink can be taken into the venue.

BIRMINGHAM: Chris Harris, Valentin Grobauer, James Shanes, Ashley Morris, Erik Riss, Paco Castagna, Jack Thomas.

PLYMOUTH: Jason Crump (TBC), Dillon Ruml, Zach Cook, Zane Keleher, Bjarne Pedersen, Alfie Bowtell, Jack Smith.
