Hargreaves reeled off five straight wins and received strong support from fellow heat-leaders Steve Worrall and Paul Starke, both of whom were unbeaten with the exception of a fall apiece in what was an eventful meeting.
Bulls trailed early on but turned the match around with a 5-1 in Heat 5, Mark Baseby passing Jon Armstrong on the run to the line, and that put them into a lead they never lost.
Heathens had the gap down to five points with four heats to go, but the Bulls recorded three 5-1s in the last four heats with reserve Stefan Nielsen giving an impressive display after suffering mechanical problems in his first ride.
BIRMINGHAM 53: Jack Hargreaves 15, Steve Worrall 10+2, Paul Starke 8+1, Stefan Nielsen 8, Mark Baseby 7+2, Lewis Blackbird 3, Jake Knight 2+1.
DUDLEY 39: Ashley Morris 11+2, Byron Bekker 7, Richard Franklin 5+1, Tom Perry 5+1, Darryl Ritchings 5+1, Jon Armstrong 5+1, Luke Chessell 1+1.
