| | | BRUMMIES are out of the Premier League Knockout Cup - and boss Graham Drury has pointed to the absence of the in-form Ulrich Ostergaard as the main reason.
The Perry Barr side went down 51-39 at Newport on Sunday - that's 92-88 on aggregate - with Ostergaard's four programmed rides realising just six-points.
"I'm not taking anything away from Newport, congratulations to them on their win," said Drury.
"But we would have expected Ulrich to have scored double-figures and that would have made all the difference to us."
SCORERS: NEWPORT: Michal Rajkowski 19, Chris Schramm 13+1, Phil Morris 8+3, Tony Atkin 6+1, Tom Hedley 4+1, Karl Mason 1+1, Nick Simmons r/r. BIRMINGHAM: Jason Lyons 15, Ben Powell 8+1, Emiliano Sanchez 6, Brent Werner 4+2, Aidan Collins 3+1, Lee Smart 3, Ulrich Ostergaard r/r.
