BIRMINGHAM warmed up nicely for their Premier Trophy Semi-final with a rousing 58-34 win over Stoke at Perry Barr.

Both Aaron Summers and Steve Johnston (14+1) were unbeaten by an opposing rider as Graham Drury's men gained revenge for their defeat in Staffordshire last week.

Said maximum man Steve Johnston: "I said after our loss at Stoke it was disappointing, but there was no need to panic. We've since picked up a couple of great results and I thought we were excellent tonight."
