BIRMINGHAM head to Glasgow tonight (Friday, August 5, 7.30) for their final away Championship fixture of the season.

The Curtis Sport Brummies took it to a last heat decider at Plymouth on Tuesday before being forced to settle for a consolation league point from their narrow 46-44 defeat.

With Glasgow fighting for a top two spot to send them straight through to the Semi-Finals of the play-offs, it will again be no easy task for the latest makeshift Brummies side.

Former Glasgow man Ricky Wells comes in alongside experienced Berwick racer Theo Pijper with talented young Aussie Zach Cook called in as well as recent Leicester recruit Max Clegg.

Team boss Laurence Rogers said: “It would be nice to go out with a bang on our travels wouldn’t it?

“Glasgow is not an easy place to go to and they’ve been racking up some big scores at home again of late.

“But we’ll go there and do our best and as always, I hope to see another battling performance from our guests and two regular Brummies in Sedgy (Justin Sedgmen) and Little P (James Pearson).

GLASGOW: Craig Cook R/R, Danyon Hume, Benjamin Basso, Paul Starke, Tom Brennan, Broc Nicol, Connor Bailey.

BIRMINGHAM: Ricky Wells, Ashley Morris R/R, Theo Pijper, Zach Cook, Justin Sedgmen, Max Clegg, James Pearson.
