BOSS Laurence Rogers reckons a ‘stunning night of entertainment’ lies ahead as Birmingham host Plymouth at Perry Barr tonight (Wednesday, July 13, 7.30).

The two played out a thrilling Championship fixture in the Second City last month with the Curtis Sport Brummies edging a last heat decider.

Edinburgh’s all-action Aussie Josh Pickering guested on that occasion and was Birmingham’s top scorer - and wowed the Perry Barr faithful with a series of stunning manoeuvres.

With popular Italian Paco Castagna and talented young Brit Jason Edwards also once again stepping in and the visitors including the likes of track specialist Ben Barker, former World Cup winner Hans Andersen and ex-Brummie Erik Riss as a guest, Rogers is expecting the Jubilee League contest to be a great advert for British Speedway.

“Perry Barr is the place to be tonight if you ask me,” he said.

“I think it’s going to be a cracking night of Speedway all-round and it could be one of the fixtures of the season, we’re in for a stunning night of entertainment.

“Particularly after losing at Plymouth last night and losing at home last Wednesday, we could all do with something of a boost and hopefully that will come in the shape of another Brummies win tonight.”
