BUZZING Birmingham are aiming to make it a hat-trick of league victories tonight (Wednesday, May 18, 7.30) when they host Oxford at Perry Barr.

The Curtis Sport Brummies will arrive back in the Second City brimming with confidence after bagging their first away victory of the season against the Cheetahs on Tuesday.

New signing Justin Sedgmen stole the show at Sandy Lane with a 14-point haul, but received plenty of support from his Brummies’ team-mates.

Sedgmen will be back in Birmingham colours at Perry Barr tonight following a successful spell with the club in 2010.

And after impressing last time out against Scunthorpe, club bosses have handed former British Under-21 Champion Kyle Howarth another guest booking in place of the injured Josh Auty.

Team Manager Laurence Rogers said: “We want this winning feeling to continue and another victory on Wednesday would make things look a lot nicer in the current standings.

“We may have beaten Oxford on Tuesday, but they’ve got Scotty (Nicholls) at No.1, Nick Morris in as a guest and a few former Brummies in Jack Thomas, Kyle Newman and Nathan Stoneman who know how to score points around Perry Barr.

“So we’re going to need the Brummies’ faithful out in force and in fine voice and hopefully the boys can send them all home happy with a smile on their faces again!”

BIRMINGHAM: Claus Vissing, Stefan Nielsen, Justin Sedgmen, Ashley Morris, Kyle Howarth, James Shanes, James Pearson.

OXFORD: Scott Nicholls, Kyle Newman, Jack Thomas, Cameron Heeps, Nick Morris, Dillon Ruml, Nathan Stoneman.
