LOCAL lad Ashley Morris is the fourth name confirmed by Birmingham for their 2020 Championship campaign.

He joins Chris Harris, Jason Garrity and James Shanes as the club’s team building continues to shape up nicely.

Morris missed more than half of the 2019 season with a wrist problem but had shown plenty of promising signs prior to his injury.

And he’s confident there’s even more to come from him next year.

“I’m excited to be re-joining Birmingham,” Morris said.

“I really enjoyed my time there before my injury; I love the track, I always received great support and it’s a well-run club with great management too.

“I’m getting things into place now for the new season to make sure I have the best set-up possible for my 2020 comeback.”
Meanwhile team manager Laurence Rogers added: “His form just prior to his injury was absolutely remarkable.

“He’d just started to find some big scores and was coming up with some big performances for us just before he got injured and we were starting to see what Ash was truly capable of in Birmingham colours.

“I have no doubt at all that he’ll quickly find that high level of performance once again.”
