BIRMINGHAM have been dealt a further blow ahead of Friday’s Championship trip to Glasgow (7.30).

Already without injured pair Tero Aarnio and Ashley Morris, club No.1 Adam Ellis will also miss the fixture in Scotland due to personal reasons.

It means Edwards Plumbing Brummies are missing three of their top four riders for the clash.
Team boss Laurence Rogers said: “Of course it’s disappointing but there’s very little we can do unfortunately.

“We’re bringing in Berwick’s Kevin Doolan for Tero for this one and using rider replacement for Ash.
“For Adam we haven’t been granted a facility so we have to use a National League rider and we thank Mildenhall’s Matt Marson for stepping in.
“It goes without saying that we’re right up against it against a super strong Glasgow side and a tough task just got even tougher.”

Former title winning Brummie Jack Smith will guest against his former side with Glasgow’s Kyle Bickley on Great Britain Under-21 duty.

GLASGOW: Craig Cook, James Sarjeant, Claus Vissing, Paul Starke, Rasmus Jensen, Connor Bailey, Jack Smith.
BIRMINGHAM: Matt Marson, Paco Castagna, Nick Agertoft, Ashley Morris R/R, Kevin Doolan, Danyon Hume, James Shanes.
