NO LUCK FOR ULRICH

Sunday March 17, 2019
BIRMINGHAM star Ulrich Ostergaard was out of luck in Sunday’s Ben Fund Bonanza at Leicester.

Ostergaard finished down the order with three points in the fund-raising event after being beset by mechanical gremlins.

The Dane was unable to take his place in the re-run of Heat 1 having suffered problems with both machines, including losing a silencer on the way to the tapes!

He finished third in a competitive Heat 10 in which he clashed with Josh Auty and then lost out to Kasper Andersen, and his best ride was his last as he followed Lewis Kerr home ahead of Paul Starke in Heat 18.

The meeting was won by home skipper Scott Nicholls, with Charles Wright and former Brummies captain Danny King completing the podium.
