BIRMINGHAM skipper Tom Bacon is hopeful of another positive all-round performance tonight (Wednesday) when Stoke visit Perry Barr (7.30).

The Edwards Plumbing Brummies returned to winning ways last week against Buxton and now Bacon is keen to see his side close in on second placed Kent in the National League.

“It’s another chance for all the boys in the team to score some good points against Stoke but we never underestimate anybody," Bacon said.

“They’ve still got a couple of very strong riders in their line-up and I’m sure there’ll be some close racing throughout the meeting.

“The attitude of everyone in the team has been spot on though. It’s full of riders that want to be racing and who are determined to win races and that’s all you can ask for."

A reminder that all seven Birmingham riders will be gathered for a special photograph and signing session between 6.15 and 6.45 in the lower bar, with a brand new team picture available in the raceday programme for the riders to sign.

A special announcement will also be made prior to Heat One while junior supporters will be invited onto the centre green during the interval to take part in a special tug of war competition against the riders following positive feedback earlier in the season.

A late change in the Stoke line-up sees Connor Coles guest at No.1 with Tom Perry now unavailable to fulfil his booking.

The main event will be followed by Midland Development League action which will see the Birmingham Ductair Electrics Bulls take on the Carmarthen Dragons.

Admission is £13 adults, £12 concessions, £3 juniors (12-16) while kids 11 and under go FREE.
