BIRMINGHAM skipper Tom Bacon will represent the club in Cradley’s Golden Hammer individual at Wolverhampton on Monday (7.30).

The 25-year-old has a liking for the Monmore Green circuit and says he’d love to give the Edwards Plumbing Brummies supporters something to shout about.

“It’s a really strong line-up and it’s going to be a good one to be involved in,” Bacon said.

“I haven’t had chance to race in it before but I’m really looking forward to it because it’s an event with a great history.

I’m in pretty good form overall though so I’m going into the meeting with plenty of confidence and hopefully I can do it for the Birmingham fans.

“It’s a local one for them so I’m expecting to see a fair few of them supporting me, it’s always nice to have a good backing, and I’d love to repay them by putting in a good performance and giving them something to cheer about.”

LINE-UP: Max Clegg, Danny Ayres, David Wallinger, Danny Phillips, Drew Kemp, Ben Morley, Luke Ruddick, Connor Coles, Jason Edwards, Ellis Perks (if fit), Luke Harris, Rob Shuttleworth, Tom Brennan, Alfie Bowtell, Kelsey Dugard, Tom Bacon.
