BIRMINGHAM are aiming to complete a quick-fire double over league leaders Belle Vue in Manchester on Friday (7.30).

The Edwards Plumbing Brummies produced a dominant team display to comfortably beat the reigning Champions 53-36 at Perry Barr on Wednesday.

Now they want to maintain their 100 per cent league record by becoming the first side to defeat the Colts at the National Speedway Stadium this year.

Brummies boss Laurence Rogers said: “The boys are feeling good after what we all felt was a much better all-round team performance on Wednesday.

“Everyone did their jobs and as a team manager I could have very few complaints, if any at all.

“We overheard a couple of their riders at the end saying that we won’t be able to ride their track on Friday – so that’s part of my team-talk done and hopefully the boys can go there and prove them wrong.”

Birmingham Ductair Electrics Bulls will also be taking on Belle Vue in the reverse Midland Development League fixture on the same night.

BELLE VUE COLTS: Tom Perry, Ben Woodhull, Kyle Bickley, Joe Lawlor, Jack Smith, Paul Bowen, Kean Dicken.

BIRMINGHAM: Tom Bacon, Layne Cupitt, James Shanes, Callum Walker, Danyon Hume, Arran Butcher, Leon Flint.
