BIRMINGHAM stage the British Under-21 Semi-Final at Perry Barr tonight (Wednesday, April 18, 7.30) - and one of their old favourites is gunning for victory.

Jack Smith was a part of the Brummies National League title winning sides in both 2015 and 2016 and has blossomed into one of the country's brightest young talents.

He admits he can't wait to race in front of his old supporters again and is confident he can book his place in next month's final at Berwick.

"As soon as I heard the semi-final had been moved to Birmingham I was delighted," Smith said.

“It’s one of only a couple of tracks that I’ve got all the confidence in the world around.

“But not only that, I get on really well with the supporters and it will be nice to catch up with some old faces.

“I know they’ve got three of this year’s team who they’ll be cheering on but hopefully they’ll be backing me as well because I had the most amazing time at Birmingham.”

Children Under 16 will be admitted free of charge while other admission has been set at £12 adults and £11 for concessions and students.

As this is a national event, Birmingham Speedway Season Tickets will not be valid.
