TALENTED teen Leon Flint will ride for the Birmingham Bulls in this year’s Midland Development League.

Flint, who turns 15 next week, is already a confirmed starter at reserve for the Brummies in the National League.

But now he’ll have the chance to gain extra track time during second half fixtures at Perry Barr.

Co-promoter David Mason said: “When we’d had it confirmed that the Bulls were going to be running in the MDL, Leon was one of the riders we definitely wanted in the squad.

“2018 will be his first full season in speedway and it’s going to be a huge year for him learning wise.

“It’s going to be an unforgettable experience – and hopefully the start of something very special.

“Perry Barr will be a new track for him to get used to, but by having him as part of the Bulls, that gives him extra opportunities to get more laps under his belt and adapt to his new home track much quicker.

“It will be very beneficial for him and with him joining Kyle Roberts, we’ve got two good young riders lining up for the Bulls so far.”
