LEGENDARY promoter Tony Mole bows out of the sport after 31 years tonight (Wednesday) with Birmingham hosting Coventry at Perry Barr in his Farewell meeting (7.30).

It promises to be an emotional but special night in the Midlands with plenty happening both on and off track.

Not only will the Brummies renew their rivalry with the Bees in a meeting which has attracted a host of former and current fans’ favourites, but supporters will be able to get up close and personal with the riders before the meeting.

An autograph and photo session will be taking place with tonight’s competitors in the main grandstand between 6.30 and 7pm.

During the interval, the brand new owners will be unveiled and presented to the crowd for the very first time and will address supporters in the stadium.

A special souvenir, limited edition brochure has been produced for tonight’s event featuring a look back on Mole’s career with contributions from people who have worked with him at the Brummies. It will be available for £3 at the track.

Fans are again reminded that season tickets are not available and standard admission prices have been frozen for the meeting.

The forecast for the Perry Barr area is clear for tonight and a big crowd is expected.
