EXCITING American prospect Broc Nicol will make a rare appearance in the UK when he rides in Tony Mole's Farewell Meeting at Perry Barr on October 11 (7.30).

The 19-year-old is fresh from a weekend to remember after being crowned U.S National Champion after a stunning individual performance at Costa Mesa.

He joins Adam Ellis, Ben Barker and Adam Roynon as confirmed starters for the final meeting of the Mole era next week which sees Birmingham renew their rivalry with Coventry.

Brummies team boss Graham Drury said: "We heard Broc was coming over to the UK for the final few weeks of the British season and we're highly delighted to be able to offer him some invaluable competitive track time over here.

"I haven't seen too much of him personally, but he is held in very high regard by four-time World Champion Greg Hancock and I'm told on good authority that the lad has some exciting potential.

"American riders normally prove to be very popular over here in the UK and I know there's a few supporters in the Midlands who have been following his progress.

"We're really, really pleased with the way the line-up for Tony's final meeting is shaping up and we'll hopefully have some more rider announcements in the next day or two."
