BIRMINGHAM continue their busy run of fixtures when they head to Buxton on Sunday (3pm) - and boss Graham Drury says nothing less than a win will do.

The Surestop Brummies endured a frustrating night on Friday as they went down 55-35 at league leaders Belle Vue, but remain in fourth place in the table.

And with an away clash at Midland rivals, and fellow play-off contenders, Cradley on Monday too, Drury insists it's imperative his side return to winning ways.

"The Belle Vue fixture was a bit annoying because we suffered that many mechanical and bike problems it was unreal," Drury said.

"But the lads were told to go away and get them sorted, ready for what is a big few days coming up.

"We've got Belle Vue back at Perry Barr on Wednesday, but before that we've got two really big away meetings.

"Of course a lot of people are building-up to the away meeting at Cradley on Monday, but we want to be going there full of confidence and a good win at Buxton on Sunday would certainly help get a bit of momentum going again.

"Buxton may be propping up the rest of the league right now, but we certainly won't be taking anything for granted.

"Their track is a complete contrast to the Belle Vue one we raced at on Friday so the lads need to go out and show how quickly they can adapt.

"And knowing master tactician Jason Pipe, he'd love to get one over us and will be firing his lads up to try and lower the colours of the reigning league Champions.

"But if we want to try and grab a play-off spot then nothing less than an away win will do - and in all honesty, we need to be taking all four league points available too."

With Tom Bacon on SGB Championship duty for Peterborough, the Surestop Brummies have drafted in talented teenager Kyle Bickley to deputise.

Meanwhile the hosts are without Max Clegg and have booked experienced campaigner Tony Atkin as a guest.
