BIRMINGHAM picked up maximum points once again with a 50-40 away win at King's Lynn.

The Surestop Brummies are now 11-points clear at the top of the National League after securing four more points on their travels.

The scores were tied with 12 heats gone, but three Birmingham heat advantages in the latter stages ensured the Brummies maintained their 100 per cent record.

Team Manager Graham Drury said: "What another great performance from our riders and what another big four points to our league tally.

"If I'm being honest, that scoreline flatters us slightly because things were really close throughout; but once again we got stronger as the meeting went on.

"Credit to King's Lynn, they played their part in what I felt was a great advert for the National League but it's absolutely great for us to get another win on board."

Temporary signing Josh Bates raced to a full fifteen point maximum on his debut while guest Bradley Wilson-Dean covered superbly for Adam Ellis at No.1.

Zach Wajtknecht reached double figures once again while Adam Kirby returned to form with another impressive performance from reserve.

Sam Chapman, Charley Powell and Alex Wilson all endured tough nights, but their efforts deserved more points than they managed.

KING’S LYNN 40: Kyle Hughes 10, Josh Bailey 8, Shane Halzelden 7, Tom Stokes 7, Scott Campos 5+4, Ryan Kinsley 3+2, Layne Cupitt 0.
