BIRMINGHAM pulled off a spectacular 53-40 victory in their first away meeting of the season at Kent.

A stunning whole-team effort saw the Surestop Brummies maintain their 100 per cent start to the 2015 National League campaign.

Team Manager Graham Drury was delighted with his team's performance and described himself as being "very proud."

Said Drury: "It was never going to be easy because Kent have been in good form of late and it can be a tricky track for the away team to get used to.

"But I feel each and every single one of our riders contributed at different times and it was a super showing from all of the lads.

"I don't like singling riders out, especially on nights like tonight, but young Zach (Wajtknecht) was outstanding and the maturity he is showing is unbelievable.

"We will enjoy this win and it could be a massive four league points come the end of the season, but we will have to quickly turn our attentions to the Buxton home meeting on Wednesday."

Teenage ace Zach Wajtknecht continued his breathtaking form bagging a crucial 18+1 from reserve before claiming the National League Bronze Helmet from Kent's Danny Ayres.

Heat-leaders Adam Ellis and Tom Perry continued their fine form and were reliable as ever at No.'s 1 and 5.

Adam Kirby enjoyed his best meeting of the season so far, guest Connor Coles chipped in with six vital points also, while Alex Wilson deserved more than the two points he managed.

KENT 40: James Shanes 12+2, Ben Morley 8, Aaron Baseby 7+1, Danny Ayres 7, Jamie Couzins 2, Danno Verge 2, Adam Sheppard 2

BIRMINGHAM 53: Zach Wajtknecht 18+1, Adam Ellis 11, Tom Perry 10+2, Adam Kirby 6+3, Connor Coles 6+2, Alex Wilson 2+1, Harvie Banks R/R
